Tiwa Lade is a British-Nigerian actor and writer, represented by Independent Talent Group and 42MP in London.

After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Tiwa wrote two critically acclaimed plays, which had rehearsed readings in theatres across New York, Lagos, and London.

In late 2019, she adapted one of her plays, RUSH, into her first screenplay, which was shortlisted for the NEAL STREET PRODUCTIONS Screenwriting Bursary (Top 10), BBC's Writers Script Room 2021 (Top 2%), and UKTV Commissioning Comedy 50:50. She also won the BBC Felix Dexter Award in 2021, which led her to be selected for the 2022 cohort of Channel 4 Screenwriting. Since then, Tiwa has been in writing rooms for BBC, ITVX, and Sky TV and has written an episode for the second season of BBC's Phoenix Rise.

On stage, Tiwa played the role of Peace in MY FATHER'S FABLE at the Bush Theatre, earning the Black British Theatre Award for Best Female Lead in a Play. She performed alongside BAFTA Award-winning actress Rakie Ayola. Tiwa also stars in Mike Leigh’s HARD TRUTHS, playing the supporting role of Savannah alongside Academy Award nominee Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Next, Tiwa will appear in Season 2 of BBC's BLACK OPS as Yas coming out later this year. Her other screen credits include Lucasfilm's INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY, directed by Academy Award-winning James Mangold, and ITVX's TELL ME EVERYTHING, directed by Marley Morrison.
